Initial Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation helps identify your child’s strengths, areas of need, and whether therapy may be recommended. Evaluations may include standardized testing, parent/caregiver interview, informal assessment, play-based or functional observation, and review of relevant school or medical information.

Following the evaluation, you will receive clear feedback, recommendations, and a personalized plan for next steps.

Speech, Language, and Feeding Therapy

Therapy is tailored to each child’s individual goals and learning style. Yar uses a play-based, child-centered approach to keep sessions engaging, meaningful, and motivating. Through play, children are able to practice new skills in a natural way, build confidence, and learn strategies that carry over into everyday routines.

Sessions may target speech sounds, language development, AAC use, feeding, social communication, regulation, or school-related skills, depending on each child’s needs. Therapy may take place in your child’s home, school, or daycare setting, with virtual services available when appropriate.

Family collaboration is an important part of the therapy process, and parents are provided with practical strategies to support progress between sessions.

Parent Coaching

You do not have to figure this out alone. Parent coaching provides practical, easy-to-use strategies to support your child’s communication, feeding, regulation, and participation in daily routines.

Coaching may be especially helpful for families looking for guidance around early language development, AAC use, mealtime challenges, transitions, behavior, or ways to support progress at home.
